SEIZING NEW OPPORTUNITIES IN FOOD SAFETY AND HEALTH

June 2022 marked the 13th year of the joint IUFoST/CIFST – Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology - Food Safety and Health International Forum that has been a strong partnership with IUFoST, and is  highly respected both internally and internationally. Last week marked another great success for the  jointly organised high- level Forum that reached more than 3.9 million viewers worldwide. Centering on the theme of “Seizing New Opportunities in Food Safety and Health with the ‘Broad View of Food Resource’”, many academicians and experts shared advances in international food safety from a global perspective, with innovation-driven enhancement of food safety and health significance attracting considerable attention from both the food science and technology world and the food industry. The forum received strong support from related Chinese departments such as the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), the Health Commission (NHC), the General Administration of Customs (GACC), the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA), as well as international organizations including the World Health Organization (WHO), the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), The video playback link of the Forum (opening ceremony & plenary sessions) including IUFoST President Vish Prakash's opening remarks are included here. The synopsis of outcomes will be available soon... Acknowledgement and thanks are extended to the many IUFoST/IAFoST Fellows and colleagues who contributed to this excellent programme.
