
The Science Behind Food Processing DIALOGUE, building on From Lunchbox to Lab: - which brought together participants from 78 countries on World Food Day - aims to deepen the global exchange on the science and communication of food processing on October 30.
This Roundtable, is organised as a virtual Q&A in which everyone is invited to contribute. The purpose is to further develop strategies and direction for communicating science for all those engaged in work and policy affecting the health and well-being of the global population. To help guide this dialogue, we invite you to send questions between now and Tuesday, October 28 using this online form.
Questions and insights also will be welcome throughout the live session.
Roundtable DIALOGUE plans to cover topics such as:
- Food classification systems and their role in global dietary guidance
- What issues need to be addressed to include food processing into classification systems?
- What role can food regulators and Codex Alimentarius play in food classification systems, and related to food labeling and food additives?
- Strategies for effective communication and stakeholder engagement
