Nutrition topics to train future professionals

The commitment of food science and technology professionals involves building an equitable food supply that is safe, abundant and also nutritious. How do we incorporate nutrition concepts in food science and technology education so that we can nurture future professionals towards this commitment?
 
In this section, we welcome everyone to share their views, thoughts and also challenges faced in teaching nutrition to food scientists and technologists.

I believe it is compulsory to include these topics in food science, technology and engineering curricula. At least a discipline to introduce the critically needed knowledge. Then, other possibility is to implement problem/project based approach to motivate students to use and learn in this area.
