18th IUFoST World Congress of Food Science and Technology
Representatives from more than 90 countries participated in the 2016
IUFoST World Congress of Food Science and Technology. Over 80 keynote plenary
and keynote sessions speakers discussed issues/challenges and interests in
theme areas, and more than 250 scientific, industry and policy experts spoke.
The programme focused on themes including food innovation, nutrition and
health, future food, food sustainability and food safety. Hot topics sessions
identified new and emerging trends in important food sectors such as meat,
dairy, seafood and consumer foods. Communications around policy in national,
regional and international government, between industry and academia and with
the consumer were a focal point.
